Transcription: Whales are mammals and like all mammals they drown if they can't breathe air. It's been noticed that baby whales that are injured and can't swim to the surface to breathe will sometimes be held up by other whales in the school. Is this altruistic behavior? It seems like it, but it's quite possible that the babies are close relatives or maybe they're just part of the same school of whales and the whale is programmed to think, well, they're in the school so they might be a relative.
